Some love stories start with fireworks. Ours started with sugarcane juice. We first crossed paths years ago, back when we were both studying B.Tech at the same college — sitting through the same classes without ever really speaking to each other, not one conversation. It wasn't until after we graduated that our paths finally crossed again, at a sugarcane juice shop near Mehdipatnam, and somehow that ordinary afternoon turned into a friendship neither of us saw coming.
From there, we became best friends — the kind who talk about everything and nothing. Eventually, we both moved to Germany to pursue our Master's and, still as best friends, ended up choosing the exact same field: Automotive Software Engineering. We studied together, struggled through it together, and today we're both automotive software engineers because of it. Somewhere in those years of long study sessions and showing up for each other again and again, something shifted — we just know that somewhere between friendship and everything after, we fell in love.
A decade after that first hello that never happened, we're finally making it official. Saivinay spoke to his parents first, then not long after, to Sravani's — and soon enough, both families said yes. And just like that, a decade-long friendship became forever.
